My family will be travelling by car through northern Italy in June. Smack in the middle of our travels are two nights in Bellagio followed by two nights in Monterosso. I know we won't need the car during those stays, but where to park?
Thanks James. That doesn't sound difficult at all. Have I read that the lots fill up early in the day?
When staying Bellagio it might be best to drive to Varenna and take the ferry to Bellagio. The drive to Varenna is very easy.
If we drive to Varenna, is it better/easier to leave the car parked there or ferry it to Bellagio?
If you stay in Bellagio, you drive to Bellagio and park it there. It makes no sense to leave the car across the lake. That would be like to park the car in Michigan to go to a hotel in Wisconsin.
Parking info for Bellagio is in the link below. To drive to Bellagio is easy enough, the only two roads are along the lake shore (from either the Como branch or the Lecco branch, depending on where you drive from).
