Parking at Pompei

We will be taking a day trip by car in late April to see the ruins at Pompei. What is the parking situation there? Is there a pay parking lot for visitors? This is not our first time there but it will be the first going by car.

It has been a couple of years since I parked there, but at that time there was a large free parking lot.
