Does anyone have an informed opinion about leaving luggage in car (won't fit in trunk) while a visit to Paestrum enroute south? I know it's not advised, but in reality, is it OK?

I have never left luggage visible in a car, and I would not do it.

Thanks! I wouldn't leave items visible in my car anywhere in the US where I live, but thought it was worth asking. We rented a smaller than expected car and only one small suitcase fits in the trunk! I don't want to miss Paestum on our way south, so I'll just have to drag mine along or check it at museum.

There is a tourist office upstairs at the train station, you might contact them about where to leave luggage.

We were in Paestum last weekend, and you may want to call the Museum before you hall your luggage around. They are in the process of revamping the space.
