We want to take a train at a small station in the Veneto that has an outdoor area for cars. I see no signs, no white or blue lines. Is it ok to park for the day at a lot like that? (It is the Fossalta station) Thanks!

I assume it's FOSSALTA DI PIAVE (there is also another town called Fossalta di Portogruaro)
Yes you may park there for free.
If blue stripes=pay (generally at a meter dispenser where you put the receipt on the dashboard)
If yellow stripes= restricted parking (for some category of vehicles, including handicapped or residents)
If white stripes (or no stripes)= free parking
The Fossalta di Piave station has 2 handicapped parking stalls (yellow stripes) and free parking stalls (with white stripes or no stripes)
