Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona, Campigna

We are interested in visiting Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona, Campigna (located east of Florence). Has anyone visited here? It appears there are numerous day hikes... any favorites? Do you have recommendations on where to stay? We were thinking of spending 2 nights. Thanks!

I’ve spent every summer there since I was a kid, as my grandparents lived in the area, and I have a family country home there.
I can’t even mention the paths, since there are so many. I think is one of the largest, or maybe the largest, national forest in Italy. I’ve gone everywhere but I can’t tell you which is better, they are all great. We even walked from Badia Prataglia to Eremo di Camaldoli, to la Burraia, near the passo della Calla, twice (took forever)..
There are numerous Agriturismo farmhouses in the area, which is popular with Germans. But most rent for a minimum of 1 week. There are hotel accommodations everywhere in the Casentino Valley, however before I recommend any, I need to know if you plan to rent a car, which I recommend. Here is the map in the meantime.

The map you sent was incredibly helpful! Thank you! We are planning to rent a car. I was thinking we would rent it and return it in Florence and maybe do a big driving loop to the east to the park and then around to Siena. We could potentially stay more than 2 nights but I'm not sure about a whole week. My kids are 8 and 10 and are pretty experienced hikers but usually prefer to only do about 3-4 miles per day.
