We are planning to visit Lake Como next month. Planning to stay in Varenna and move around. We would like to try out paragliding in this area. Could anyone share there experience in doing the same in this region. Would like to know how safe is it? Heard there is one in Gera Lario. What is the best mode of transportation from Varenna to Gera Lorio since we have to reach there early morning? Please advice

How safe? Dunno. See lots of people doing though. Summer schedules are not out yet, but as of now, looks like you could get a fast boat at 6:35 am from Varenna to Menaggio arr 6:39, then the C10 bus from Piazza Roma in Menaggio dep 6:55 am and arr Gera Lario at 7:38 am. That is a Monday to Saturday schedule.
