We are bringing our 15 year-old grand daughter with us to Italy in June of 2017. She wants to go paragliding as we did with her brother in Zermott, Switzerland. That experience was fabulous, but it was in mid August. Our Italy trip will be in early June. Two questions: can you recommend a location and/or company? AND, will early June be really chilly in Italian Alps? What about Lake Garda?
At this point in planning, we are going to begin or end in southern Italy with time along the Amalfi coast. Then to Rome and ending (or beginning) in Venice. Florence is on the list, but she is only 15 and we don't want to inundate her with museums and cathedrals. My husband and I have traveled in Italy, so this trip is about her. I did see paragliding sites on the Amalfi coast, but to be honest, they paled by comparison to the Matterhorn. We plan to be in Italy 2 weeks or more. Thanking you for what I know will be great responses.
There is paragliding from Monte Baldo on Lago di Garda. The cablecar takes you up from the village of Malcescine, a nice place to stay.
This is a company that offers tandem paragliding there:

But I am sure there are others. Monte Baldo rises some 5000 feet above the lake, so it should be a spectacular flight.
