I will be in Florence, Sienna, San Gimigano, Volterra and Cinque Terra and would like to buy colorful patterned papers for card making. Does anyone know the best way to find paper stores in Italy or have any recommendations for stores in these cities/towns?
Thanks,
Chrissy
There are a few paper stores in Florence; I had to purchase some paper for book making. However, I don't recall the names or locations off hand... But I'm certain the stores are there, so when you're in town I'm sure you can just ask the front desk at wherever you're staying and somehow or another they can help you find one. You could also possibly Google Firenze and carta or carteria and see if anything helpful comes up. Likewise with the other towns. Have fun!
I would go further and say there are a TON of paper stores here. It sounds like you are talking about nice, fancy things - which are available and are fairly expensive. Then there are the regular cartoleria which are more for kids school supplies. But book making and paper do have a long history here and you will definitely find interesting things.
There is one that may interest you on Borgo Albizi for sure- I will see if I can come up with some others or names.
