How can I find out when the Pope is having his weekly audience?
I have checked the calendar on the Holy See's website and October is not available.
Only having 5 nights in Rome, should I not take the time to in hopes of
a glimpse?

If there's an audience, it's always on Wed morning. In October, there should be one unless he's traveling. If you're not in Rome on a Wednesday, the other possibility would be Sunday's Angelus and blessing.
