One morning I got up early and strolled over to the Pantheon and walked right in - but that was back in 2010.

In November, on a weekday, we stood in a fairly long line that snaked around the plaza, but it moved quickly. I'd expect that closer to peak season, the line could be longer.

vfinn, yes, that's the link to the official website I'd provided. If you are needing to make a timed-entry entry reservation (mandatory and available only for weekends and holidays) go to this page of that site:

https://www.pantheonroma.com/2020/07/15/covid-19-general-info/

See this text?
"To visit the Pantheon on weekends and public holidays it is necessary to book the visit here at least one day in advance. Admission is free from Monday to Friday."

Click the word "here" in the first sentence. It takes you to this page:
https://pantheon.cultura.gov.it/en/#

That's where you do it.

When I try to set a reserved time for a visit to the Pantheon on a Sunday it only lets me set times within 7 days. I want to set a time for next month (July 2022). Am I seeing this correctly - I can not set a time a month or so out? Thank you.

That looks to be the case ^^
Actually I could only reserve just now for next 2 weekends, not thru June

The Pantheon was caught in the Covid regulations. Prior to the pandemic, ther ewere just doors, you could pretty much enter and leave as you wish.

Once covid hit, the Pantheon, being an enclosed space was required to check vaccination status, and limit the number of people inside at one time. This took time, hence the long lines, and the attempt to impose timed entry on busy weekends.

However, vaccination status is no longer required, capacity requirements are lapsing, and I hear after June 1 most covid related requirements have been dropped. I expect that the lines to get in will subside as well.

The Rick Steves Audio Europe app offer several audio guided tours for free. The pantheon is included among them.
