I had some fantastic panforte in Siena, but the ones I ordered online since coming home are just OK. Any suggestions on a brand/website where I can order from
the US?

I seem to remember liking La Torre brand but it was many years ago that I had it. Bought it in an Italian deli here in CA. I know what you mean about the ones you can only buy in Siena. The one with the plain brown wrapper and red sealing wax stands out in my mind. I loved the pan pepato (covered in pepper.)

I will definitely check out that recipe. In the meantime, I found Taylors Market in Sacrament, California online. I will see how theirs tastes.
