We would like to book a day tour of Palermo, however we prefer not to drive our rental car into the city. Has anyone driven to a location and parked their car outside the city while they took a train or Uber into the city?
Other option: Can anyone suggest a reliable transfer service from airport to Palermo? We could return our rental and hire a transfer service from airport to Palermo?.

If you return your car to the airport, one option is to simply take the train from the airport into the city. I know there are transfer services at the airport because I saw plenty of saw plenty of people holding signs with people's names on them when we landed, but I took the train so I can't give any personal recommendations. Train was very easy. If you decide to try train, turn left immediately after entering arrival hall for exit to train station.
