Palazzo Valentini

First, a big thank you to Rick for a recommendation to arrange a tour with Francesca Caruso in Rome. She has not only been responsive to our wishes, but extra helpful with other questions about negotiating Roman sites.
Now, a question... Francesca recommended we visit the Roman houses under the Palazzo Valentini. We have booked it but I'm looking for a guide booklet or pamphlet or something to guide us. Are there guide books at the Palazzo or anywhere else?

You'll find that almost all such locations contain at least a brochure that's available. Some places have laminated sheets for each room, explaining in various languages what's to be found in that room. Why not ask Francesca, since she's been so helpful?

Francesca has been very helpful and I have emailed her. She cautioned that the tour in the morning may be in Italian. The webs site was unclear about language choice. I'd like to be prepared with English information in case we're in an Italian tour. Thanks for the suggestion! Joyce

As of May the only English tour was at 1:15 pm. You cannot just go in, you have to take a tour so a guide or guidebook would be unnecessary. The explanations are all done by audiovisual recording and the multimedia presentation is just AWESOME. Honestly in my 5 days in Rome it was my favorite thing of ALL. Really amazing production.

Thanks for the info and advice. Turns Francesca went to the Palazzo and got us into the 1:15 "tour." TicketOne was was not responsive so it is really good that we have a friend in Rome. All is well.
