Palazzo Davanzati

Can I take photographs inside the Palazzo Davanzati? What other Florentine castles, palaces, or villas allow interior photography? Thank you.

Sally I went by there today after lunch to check on this for you, but they were already closed! I am curious about this myself, I thought I had some pictures from inside, but I can not find any. So maybe you can't photograph the interior. I can't remember. Maybe on Friday I can pass by again -

Thank you so much for your attempt. If you do have a chance to stop by again to see if they allow photos, I would be very grateful.

Are photos allowed inside Palazzo Vecchio?

Thanks for any information!

Sally, I was at the Palazzo Davanzati in May of 2009, and we were allowed to take photos, but we couldn't use the flash. I'm not sure about the Palazzo Vecchio, though. Oh and if you're in the mood for a simple sandwich, try I Due Fratellini down a side street from the Piazza della Signoria; Rick mentions it in his book, too. Have a great trip!

Thank you, Anthony and Meagan, for your information! I am so excited about seeing these magnificent interiors!

So I guess Meagan answered your question! And a definite yes at the Palazzo Vecchio - I took a bunch of photos there last week, no flash.

Still want to stop by the Davanzati but it is pouring at the moment here!

Well I made it to the palazzo today - and the word is not photos AT ALL! This is definitely a newer policy/trend as is being discussed on another thread here. There are many places that say no flash but photos okay, but these are usually churches. Museums seem to be a no for the most part now. Of course you always see people breaking the rules...
