Palazzo Butera and Teatro Massimo

We plan to visit Palazzo Butera and Teatro Massimo. PB is open January 1, 2025 which is when we want to visit. I've attempted to buy tickets online but received a message that they do not accept credit cards that weren't issued in the EU. Does anyone know if this is a crowded venue that would be difficult to just walk up to the box office and purchase on the day of?

The Teatro Massimo still has not opened online ticket availability for Jan. 1st, yet. Same question, can I just walk up and buy a ticket for the day of? TIA

We went to both when we were in Palermo. Palazzo Butera was not crowded and there was no problem walking up. It is a great place. I highly recommend.

We also were able to walk up for a tour at Teatro Massimo. We waited about 15 minutes for an English speaking tour.

We were there in May so I would think it would be less crowded in January, although there might be fewer tours as well.

We just had the same experience with both just yesterday. No need to buy tickets ahead, especially for January.

Wonderful, Becky! We plan to go New Year's Day. I can't imagine many would be lining up, but now I feel more certain about it. Thanks.
