I have tickets for the 12:20 PM Underground tour but I do not have the entrance tickets yet. If I want to go to the Forum, etc before the tour, do I simply go to the entrance at Palantine Hill and buy the tickets for there? Also, how early do I need to be at the Colesseum entrance in order to make the 12:20 tour?

We bought our tickets to Palatine Hill/Forum online in advance and thus avoided the long line.

The ticket line is usually shortest at the Palatine entrance but you could certainly purchase them online just to be sure of avoiding a ticket queue. They are not day or time specific so you wouldn't be nailed to a particular hour of the morning...although I'd recommend giving yourself plenty of time for these two plus a break before your tour; I'd try to be there at the opening hour. I would allow a healthy 45 minutes to get through security and to the tour desk at the Colosseum.
