Paestum. vs. Agrigento's "Valley of the Temples"

I love both, it's hard to choose. Agrigento's archeological site is much larger and more spread out. The museum is larger as well. The city itself has more to offer than Paestum does, although both have a beach. Agrigento's ruins also span a longer time period. If you can squeeze in a half-day in Paestum on the way to Agrigento, you won't regret it. There is something about Paestum that makes it more intimately accessible. Whichever you choose, keep in mind that museums are closed on Mondays.

can we skip Paestum Of course you can. It is your vacation. They are a long way apart, physically.
