Padova Card logistics

I'm looking into the various ways of obtaining a Padova Card. Apparently, one way is to buy it in the Arrivals Hall at the Marco Polo Airport. Is it also possible to make a Scrovegni Chapel reservation there? If not, could I show up in Padova (October 1), Padova Card in hand, and make the Scrovegni reservation then? Thanks!

If you really want to see the Scrovegni Chapel, I would not count on walking in without a reservation. Entrance is limited to groups of 25 at a time. Unless you have lots of flexibility, and can wait for a no-show slot, I would make the reservation as soon as you get the card, or make the reservation by phone and let them know you will be using the card.

Thanks! I was trying to reserve online, and getting nowhere, but then realized that I have other options if the airport thing doesn't work out.

Tried the online reservation again, and it worked! Yay! For anyone else who is struggling with their booking system, it DOES work, it's just kind of - um - redundant. I went through a big rigmarole in which I thought I was ordering the Padova Card, but was really just registering on their system - once that was done, got an email to activate, and once I clicked that, THEN I could actually order the Padova Card, then make the Scrovegni Chapel reservation. Whew!

It is indeed the Venice airport, but its Arrivals Hall is on the list of authorized outlets for the Padova Card. I was thinking, since I'll arrive in Venice almost 2 weeks before visiting Padova and wanted to get my Scrovegni reservation squared away, and the Scrovegni online site was giving me fits, that the VCE airport could be a good option, but now that I got online booking to work, no need. [Apologies for that last sentence.]

For anyone else reading this, unless the system has changed, you make your Scrovegni Chapel reservation at the time you buy the Padova Card.

Yes - the Scrovegni website does let you buy the Padova Card and make the Scrovegni reservation in one go. It also offers options of just buying the Card, and/or a couple of different types of museum passes, or just making the Scrovegni reservation. It says that if you've obtained a Padova Card from a different site, and then want to make a Scrovegni reservation, you need to call their Call Center.
