Janet, I've never taken any Overome Guided Tours, but would like to suggest an alternative which will be especially good for a novice traveller. You might consider booking a tour with Francesca Caruso (contact information in the Guidebook). She's an outstanding Guide with an enormous knowledge of history. As you might appreciate, she's often booked solid, especially as she's also a local Guide for RS Tours. It's a good idea to enquire well in advance of your trip. If she happens to be unavailable, she can often suggest another excellent Guide. If your budget will allow, using a private Guide will allow you to tailor the tour to fit your interests. When will this trip be taking place? Happy travels!

Hi Janet, I know Overome and I have taken a guided tour of St. Peter and Vatican Museum with them. It's a very good agency, people is competent and smiling. The visit has been exhaustive and not boring at all: I totally enjoyed it, it was a great experience. There's a massive quantity of art masterpieces to be seen during the tour and the guide (I think she was called Nicoletta) has been really kind and her explanations professional and clear.
I would suggest you to contact them. Great service guaranteed! Enjoy Rome :-) Bye

I've used Through Eternity for many walking tours in Rome. Small groups and great guides. Be care that the only post from the Stefano is one praising Overome - could very well be someone from the company itself.
