Has anyone done the overnight train from Bolzano (going into the Dolomites) to Rome, Italy? I am unable to see if I can do a one-way ticket and would love to see feedback from anyone who has done it. Looking for feedback on cost, sleeping/bed, food, experience in delays, etc. Thanks!
There are trains on the Dolomites? I don’t think so. Maybe you intend a train from Bolzano (the closest city in a valley near the Dolomites) to Rome. But I don’t think they run night trains on that route anymore. Most night trains have gone the way of the film camera since the advent of high speed trains and cheap low cost flights.
Sorry yes! Going to Bolzano which I read is the gateway into the Dolomites.

The night trains from Munich to Rome now go through Villach and Tarvisio, well to the east of the Dolomites. Suggest taking a late direct Freccia train at 5:10 pm or the early train at 5:12 am. Takes about 5 3/4 hours.
