My friend and I will be flying into Rome at 8:00 PM in the evening and leaving at 9:40 AM the following morning. I am looking for a nice hotel stay near the airport. Suggestions please.

There is a Hilton Hotel right at the airport.

There is a Hilton right in the airport, which is connected to the terminals by covered walkways. And there is also a Hilton Garden Inn nearby, which requires a shuttle bus. Naturally, the first one is more expensive than the second, but for just one night, it's probably your best bet.

I would agree with the Rome Airport Hilton, which is right at the airport and you can walk to. Not to be confused with the Hilton Garden Inn, which is a different hotel.
One comment though for anyone else reading this. It would be so much more helpful when seeking recommendations to list budget instead of vague terms or euphemism like "nice"or "affordable"
