Overnight parking in Florence city center with car/lot access

Headed to Florence in July. We're flying into Florence and I'd like to get a rental car at the airport around 10:00, immediately go park it but have access to it whenever we want over the following 2 days. As in: the next morning, get it around 7:00 for a day trip to Val D'Orcia region then return at no particular time that night then get it again the next morning around 7:00 and head to Cinque Terre and afterwards return it to the airport. My concerns are access once it's parked. The Park2Go and Garage Michelangelo on Via Ricasoli are most convenient. Has anyone parked there or have general information about how these type garages operate? It appears that they are manned from 7:00 until 1:00pm (13:00) or 2:00pm (14:00) and I want to know I can return and park late in the evening. One asks for 15 minutes notice to get the car which makes me think you've got to have an employee there for access. I just want a place where I can scan a card or something to get in and out.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The first question to ask is: where are your accommodations exactly? It would make sense to park at the hotel, if you choose one that is in the right location with parking on premises.
Also, why are you staying in Florence if you plan to visit elsewhere?
By the way, neither the Val D’Orcia nor the Cinque Terre are a short drive from Florence, and the Cinque Terre can be reached just as fast, or faster, by train. The Cinque Terre are not easy to drive to.

Thanks for the idea. I'm going to email our hotel which is a block from the Duomo. 2 days of travel and then Florence then Siena by bus for a day. Well aware of the distances and I have driven Cinque Terre before. I love to drive and thankfully you can still find manual transmissions in European rental cars. Trains don't stop every time you see something cool.

If your hotel is at the Duomo, you can’t even drive there. Ask what they recommend but I doubt they have parking on the premises.

Below is the site of all public lots. The closest to the Duomo is Stazione SMN (more expensive), San Lorenzo Mercato (too hard to drive to). I would choose either Binario 16 or Parterre, or maybe the Fortezza/Fiera.

But a better plan is to go to the Cinque Terre and stay there. Go to Val d’Orcia and stay there. You should stay at the hotel in Florence only when you don’t have the car, basically to visit Florence and maybe Siena (although Siena is near the Val d’Orcia too). If you want to take car trips while staying in Florence, you should look for a hotel with parking outside the ZTL (restricted traffic zone) but still close to the city center.
