Overnight Parking at the Cadenabbia Ferry & Safest Road from Bellagio to Milan

Because driving and parking seems to be at a minimum in Bellagio, we’re thinking it makes more sense to leave our car in Cadenabbia.

Is there a monitored lot for overnight parking in Cadenabbia while we take the ferry over to Bellagio to spend the night?
We’ll be driving from Bellagio to Milan the next morning.
We’re thinking the road from Cadenabbia might be the safest route which is why we’d leave the car overnight in Cadenabbia.
Any insight or suggestions?

We have always taken the ferry from Menaggio when driving from that side of Lake Como such as when returning from Switzerland. I googled Cadenabbia, a much smaller town, and do see the P sign and parcheggio/parking near the ferry slip.
I assume your hotel doesn’t offer parking. We have parked next to the cathedral at the top of the town even though signs say otherwise. We were instructed to park there. Hotel Belvedere at the top of Bellagio has parking.
When hiring a driver to take us to/from Bellagio to MXP, they drive down the central peninsula to Como on SS583 from Bellagio, not crossing the lake. You can also use the western road, but mountains come down to the road at times.
One time we drove up the west side which is narrow and were behind a bus that got stuck.
After Como, take Autostradas, like interstate highways. MXP is north of Milan and near Lake Maggiore. Or are you driving into Milan? We dropped a car off one time at Linate Airport and took a taxi into the city. Enjoy your time in Italy.

Have you asked your lodging about parking? If they do not provide it, they probably know where you can park.

The lot Suki mentions is unattended metered parking. Buy parking ticket from a machine and stick it to the window. I do not know if overnight parking is allowed.
