Over the counter meds

Should there be concerns taking over the counter meds and or vitamin supplements etc through customs? Going to Italy.

Never had. We go to Italy every year for quite a few years now and bring a three-month supply, all in ziplocks.

Medications should be kept in their original containers. I am not aware of any US OTC medicines that are illegal in Italy, but you still might want to look them up.

Never had a problem with otc meds, either. Good idea to bring the original container just to be sure.

I can't express the degree to which the airport personnel will NOT care about your OTC meds and supplements. Unless you're bringing in enough quantities to sell on the black market, they don't give a rip. Happy travels.

Pam, I always pack along several OTC med's (Advil, etc.) and Vitamins, and have never had any problems at all. I also travel with prescription med's in my carry-on, and again no one has said a thing. I prefer to keep the prescription med's in their original bottle with my name on the label. Happy travels!
