We are traveling in Europe (by car) in July and ending our trip with 1 night in Rome before our flight out. I am looking for a nice hotel for one night on the outskirts of Rome where we would have easy access to the airport. Does anyone have a good hotel experience they would like to share? It would be much appreciated. Thanks!

So you intend on keeping the car that last night and then driving to the airport to return the car??? If you just must have that ball and chain rental vehicle with you until the last morning then just stay at an airport hotel. Otherwise get rid of the car before you get to Rome. Spend a lovely last night IN Rome and hop on the Leonardo Express directly to the airport the last morning.
Hopefully you've been to Rome previously and aren't just giving yourself one evening to see that amazing city.
