Outlet Stores - outside of Florence - Really?

Has anyone heard of and/or gone to the Outlet Stores outside of Florence.

If so - how did you get there and was the shopping as good as I'm told it will be?

I'm sure you'll multiply the prices you find there by the exchange rate, to determine if it's really a bargain. You're Canadian but as an example, for those of us paid in US dollars, if something in the Florence outlet store is €100 then it's true cost to us would be about $145 (€100 x 1.45).
