We will be in Florence a couple of days in July. I've tried to find some online info about the outdoor cinema season without luck. Has anyone enjoyed this? Any recommendations on how to get tickets, where to watch, reservations or none needed, etc.? Thanks.
I stand corrected. I should have said "almost all".
Okay, this isn't exactly what you asked, but you realize that any films shown will be in Italian and without any subtitles, right? Italians dub all foreign language movies (and TV) into Italian, including English language movies.
That said, it will probably be a pretty cool experience that you'll get a good story out of. Good luck.
Italians dub all foreign language movies
Not all. Art house cinemas will typically subtitle foreign films into Italian. It's the chain multiplex cinemas that will show the dubbed version. Haven't got a clue how the outdoor cinema will handle it.

Speaking of dubbing....Rick's Steves Europe gets the treatment on Italian TV:
Hi, does anyone have information about outdoor cinema in Florence and Venice for summer 2012?
