I am planning a two-week trip to Puglia. I will not be renting a car, but I have figured out trains and buses to all of my chosen locations, and most places are easy to reach. The only exception is getting from Ostuni to Locorotondo. I feel like I must be missing something. Worst case, I will take a taxi, since it looks like a 35-minute drive, but I am assuming it will be expensive. I will be traveling from Locorotondo to Alberobello afterward, which has a quick 15-minute bus ride. There must be a way to make the Ostuni to Locorotondo connection work. Help! I really want to spend a couple days in Locorotondo and do not want to make it a day trip. (I dont want any day trips to be honest. I like to spend a few days in each location)

Also, let me add... when I figured out my itinerary a month ago, I did find a 55 min direct bus route between the 2 places. But when I just checked again, it vanished. Ive been searching for the direct bust route all day. Thats why I really feel like I missing something here. Either that or losing my mind. lol.

Hi Jennfur, interestingly, I am staying in Ostuni right now. I had a reservation for Locorotondo, but it was just going to be a mess. Plus there’s a train strike in two days, so I could only stay one night instead of two.
There’s a bus and also a train between Alberobello & Locorotondo. I took the train two years ago, and it leaves you off at the bottom with the old town nearby. I walked up into Locorotondo.
Ostuni is typically a taxi down to the Ostuni train station since it’s not up in the hilltop city. So, that would be Ostuni Citta (taxi), train to Bari, bus from Bari to Locorotondo. IF you take the bus, you need a ticket way before because they sell out with the high demand of tourists wanting to see Alberobello.

It looks like there’s an option to go to Monopoli and on from there. Hopefully someone on the forum can tell you if that’s a reliable option.

Thanks Jean! I'm actually starting in Monopoli, taking the train/bus to Lecce and working my way back.
Monopoli - Lecce - Ostuni - Locorotondo - Alberobello - Bari.
But Ive literally tried every scenario and nothing works! Ahhh. I think I'm gong to have take the taxi from Ostuni to Locorotodo. I have my heart set on all 6 places and dont want to skip any!

I always try room2rio.com first to see whether a train / bus / walking / driving / Taxi will work for what I want. And then I go to the actual Transportation site. Might work?
