not sure you need an organized tour. the info available on site is great. this is an amazing place - keep wandering and don't ignore things you see in the distance! Some of the best discoveries are off the beaten path!

RS has a very good free audio guide of Ostia Antica.

We enjoyed our visit immensely using it.

We did it on our own and it was very enjoyable. The train station in Ostia is within walking distance of the ruins. A day well spent.

FYI, the train stop is called Ostia Scavi (meaning Ostia Ruins or Excavation). There is also Lido di Ostia which is the modern town of Ostia on the coast. That's a different stop.

Great way to spend a day - or even half a day. Only 30 minutes train ride from Pyramide metro station. Relaxing park-like atmosphere. A wonderful contrast to hiking around the crowded city.
