Has anyone used a private guide in Fuimicino for a tour of the area and Ostia Anrtica? Thank you
Hi Debbie, here's a link for a guided tour: http://www.ostiaantica.beniculturali.it/en/informazioni.php
When we went to Ostia Antica last year, I just found a very detailed history & accompanying map on-line. We reviewed the info on the train from Grosseto to Rome and enjoyed walking through it ourselves. The connections to Ostia Antica are very easy (& cheap!) to catch the transportation from the center of Rome. We were there three hours, but could have stayed much longer if Rome had not been calling us back. : )
Jean, do you happen to have the link to the online history and map you mentioned? Ostia is on our agenda for this spring. Thanks!
We printed this for all of the history details, and then I searched for a better map (don't have that site). I marked our top priorities on that map using the history & locations contained within this info.
That's wonderful, Jean. Thank you!
Jeff, I also used Rick's free audio tour and enjoyed it.
