Does anyone know if this restaurant is open on Mondays? Some websites I have found say they are closed sunday and monday - others say they are just closed sundays. i was looking to reserve on a monday and sent them an email but i got a reply that they are on vacation until september 1st - by that time i will already be in europe. so i want to know if i should pick another place if they are closed on mondays! thanks!

Nicole - My only suggestion would be to call when either you arrive in Venice or at least by the Saturday before that Monday.
However, I'm inclined to believe that they are probably closed on Sunday and Monday. Here is my logic behind that guess.
Both Zagat and viaMichelin say they are closed Sunday and Monday. the osteria also concentrates mostly on seafood. The Rialto Fish Market is also closed on Sunday and Monday, so they may also close because they can't get fresh on Monday.

I was hoping they'd have a voice-mail recording with their days of operation, but that was a little bit of wishful thinking....
Their website isn't much help in this regard either! Most of the listings on google.it have it listed as closed on Mondays though.
It does look like you'll have to call when you get here (or get your hotel to help with a reservation, perhaps). I'd have a back-up plan in mind, for sure!
