Orvietto

Does anyone know a good, moderately priced hotel in Orvietto?

I have stayed at Hotel Posta a couple times. The bathroom down the hall rooms were quite inexpensive and it was certainly adequate. Its about two rock tosses from the Duomo. I think there is always construction going on there but the lady that runs the place is very nice. A small grocery is nearby. I feel pretty strongly about staying in the old town part (not in the lower part near the tracks unless you have no choice. Its a wonderful city which I love.

Maureen, I stayed at http://www.hotelcorso.net/indexeng.html on my last visit to Orvieto, and was very pleased with the Hotel. Assuming nothing has changed, I would definitely recommend it. It's in a very convenient location, not too far from the Funicular and not too far from the main piazza, where the Duomo is located. I just checked their website, and the prices look "moderate" to me. Happy travels!

You should really state your budget in dollars or euro. Moderately priced means different things to different people. Four years ago I stayed at the Hotel Corso and was very pleased with the accommodation. I spent 3 nights there, which was 1 night too long. The town is beautiful, but closes at 9 p.m. Buon viaggio,

Stayed at Valentina's B&B in October 2011. Our room was spacious and well appointed with in room bath. There is a walk up a flight of stairs to get to the rooms. It is in the heart of Orvietto, behind the palace on Piazza del Popolo. Around 55 euros.

Another vote for Valentinas. We stayed there last May. Very central in town, and pretty inexpensive. 55 sounds right, although I think that we got additional discounts for multiple nights.

We stayed at Valentina's two years ago. Clean and convenient. I'll be staying there again in June.

Casa Flavia was very nice. Helpful owner also. Should fit your budget.
