Orvieto Restaurant

Any suggestions for an exceptional restaurant in Orvieto. Been there before and had a great meal (best filet mignon I ever had) I know - don't say it. After a month of traveling in Italy I was Pasta'd out. Now we are going back so I would like a small family Italian restaurant suggestion.

We went to this family owned restaurant which was awesome. One of our best meals with great prices. We dined in their lovely terrace. We were surrounded by locals so we knew it was going to be great. The name is: RE ARTU' - Via loggia dei Mercanti,14 Tel. +39 0763.393438 I had a great ravioli dish with, of course, Orvieto Classico. Enjoy!

Shelley,

I had a fantastic meal at Ristorante L'Antica Rupe, which is located at Vicolo sant'antoni 2/a in Orvieto. As I recall, the restaurant is on the second floor so some stairs were involved. The Clerk at the Hotel had recommended it, and it was a nice meal.

Happy travels!

I Sette Consoli is great. The garden area for dining opens in early April. They serve five course meals and it is not inexpensive. We had a late lunch (2:30) and this ended up being dinner. Price was around 45 euros each with wine extra--we just had a glass. Service was very attentive and they do not rush you at all and it definitely was exceptional. Enjoy Orvieto!

We liked La Palomba just off Piazza della Repubblica (it's in Rick's Italy book.)
