Orvieto for one night?

Hi everyone. I'll be spending some time in the Umbria region on March 2024 after flying into FCO. My flight was originally not landing until around 6:30p, so I'd planned to just spend the night in a hotel near the Termini since I'd be worn out then heading to Perugia the next morning with possibly a brief stop in Orvieto on the way, however, my flight was changed and now I'm arriving around 11:30, so I'm thinking about maybe heading to Orvieto and spending one night. I was thinking about trying to get a room at Hotel Virgilio since it's right next to the duomo, but thought I'd check here first for input.

Also, my layover in Lisbon got shortened to just 1 3/4 hours. I doubt that will be a problem since I'll arrive pretty early and I think I can use the e-passport entrance which will be pretty quick. Do you agree?

Thank you!

Another vote for the Hotel Duomo and for staying two nights if you can. Da Carlo trattoria is excellent, reservations advisable.

Great news… Hotel Virgilio has a website that seemed still active, so I emailed them and they reopened in April! The gentleman who responded said someone would reach out tomorrow about a reservation. I’ll only be spending one night there, but I am really looking forward to being able to slow down and take it all in.
