Ortigia: Looking for a B&B as a home base for 7 nights

Good Morning! We're going to Sicily for 7 nights in mid-March, 2024, and our current plan is to stay in Ortigia for the full 7 nights and do day trips. Looking for suggestions for a B&B that has a water view for around $250/night (hopefully with a balcony). We are two senior citizens that can do stairs. .... If you want to suggest a day trip, or a place/town to go for dinner, all suggestions are welcome. We're beginning the planning process.Thank you so very much!

A Putia is a restaurant we really liked. They don’t take reservations - it’s a small restaurant and the food is very good. Great service too!

Caseificio Borderi near the market is great for sandwiches and a fun experience!

You might want to consider searching for an apartment. I'm thinking the price would be much better and the space would be much bigger. The apartment I stayed at a couple of times was right on the main piazza (no stairs but a balcony overlooking the water that was magnificent). Unfortunately the web site has been taken down but there are several others to consider including VRBO and AirBnB. Might be worth your while!
I've been searching for the apartment I stayed in - seems it's gone (maybe sold - darn, I would have bought it just for the view!) Good luck with your search. Ortigia is well worth the 7 nights you are planning!
For dinner - Spizzuliamu on Via Consiglio Regionale. Ate there several times - and was recognized by the owner and his son and the chef when i returned the next year! I say that is 'paying attention.'

We had an awesome meal at Trattoria al Pigna last September. It is a small, family run place where you choose your own seafood from a tableside selection of fresh catch. We were served the best ever mussels and a delicious fish for two. Highly recommend.
