I am completing a tour in Orta San Giulio, and need to travel to Florence. It is hard to get any information on the best way to travel to Florence. Does anyone have any tips as to which way would be easiest? I hope to take the train, but have been informed that it's a little complicated.

From the Italian train web site, it looks like a 4 - 5 hour trip with changes in Novara and Milan. I think taking the train is your best option. Go to www.trenitalia.it. The train station in Orta San Giulio is Orta-Miasino. Also, I don't know where the tour has you staying in Orta San Giuilo, but it's a bit of a hike from the town center to the train station.
