Are there any bad places to stay in Orieveto? We are looking in the medieval section near well. Apartment for 5. In July.
If we have a car do you drive into Orieveto. What about parking? Thanks for input.

I would also check w/landlord as many have said free parking needs a voucher.

There really are no bad places, just be sure you are up on the hill, in the town, not below it. You can walk across the entire town in 20-or-so minutes. One note of caution: when your landlord gives you driving directions, follow them carefully as there are ZTLs to worry about. It will take two of you: one to drive and the other to navigate/watch for ZTL signs so you don't enter one in error. We stayed at B&B Ripa Medici a few years ago and she did a great job of giving us directions that avoided the ZTL.

I've stayed at Hotel Duomo and L'Aquila Bianca. The hotels will give you parking directions. Do not park in Piazza del Popolo the night before market days (Thursday and Saturday), your car will be towed.
