Hello,
Will be arriving on train from Salerno to Pompei Station on Viale G Mazzini, on Sunday, September 8 about 12 noon for 2 days at Pompeii.
We are at the Hotel Forum on Via Roma about 5 blocks north from this station acc to Google Maps. Since we get to Pompei town late morning we hope to get over to Oplontis that afternoon.
What is the best way to do so on a Sunday?
Return to Pompei Sta and take a train to Torre Annunziata?
Walk to Pompeii scavi and take the Circumvesuviana one stop?
Take a bus? Which one and from where?
it is unclear how to use a train from Pompei Sanutario station and where they go.
Thank yo for any help. We have to get back that evening also! Oplontis closes at 6.
