Driving then to: Bolonia 1 night stay Then to piza 1 night stay also visiting Florence Then one night in TIVOLI THEN 4 nights in formia for family Then drive to Capri one night then to Minor one night then drive to Bari for last 3 nights Feels crazy

Aripac, It would help to have more information on your travel plans. The Itinerary that you provided is a bit difficult to follow. I'm assuming you're referring to Bologna and Pisa? Your plans cover a significantly large area, and especially as you plan on driving, extra time will be required. Using fast trains (where available) would be a much better option. One point to note is that you can NOT drive to Capri. It's an island, so you'll have to travel by boat from Naples, Sorrento, or other location. I don't believe the Itinerary that you've listed above will be possible. Good luck!

I recommend as a first step - actually two first steps - 1) Get a good guide book and read about your destinations. Rick Steves' books are good, as are many others. 2) use Google maps "directions" to get a sense of how far it is from destination to destination.

It is! I don't understand the flow of the trip. Not sure why a night in Tivoli and three in Bari. And you do realize that Capri is an island. Hard drive there unless you have one of the James Bond's cars. You will be spending a lot of time driving with a min amount of time in some of the places.

I agree with the others, and I also want to add that it isn't really possible to visit Florence on the way to Pisa from Bologna, especially if you want to visit Pisa also. If your itinerary already feels crazy, that isn't a good sign. Make some changes. Cut out half of your cities for starters.
