Anyone have any suggestions for venues to hear classical music in Venice and Rome in July? We are particularly interested in opera. Thanks

I'm not sure about performances in July, but check out Rome's new Auditorium Parco della Musica designed by Renzo Piano (www.auditorium.com). Just seeing the complex is worth the trip, though we heard a wonderful orchestral concert in the largest of the three halls. You might also try www.operaroma.it. They do some outdoor operas in the summer. Venice's opera house is www.teatrolafenice.it.
