In early March we purchased 4 tickets for the opera Turandot for June 8th at the Arena di Verona & have had to change our flights to the following week. I wrote to the Fondazione in Italian to ask if we could exchange our tickets for the following week, even though the seats available on June 15th are not nearly as good. The answer was No. Has anyone been able to sell their tickets (not for a mark-up) in a case such as ours or does anyone have any suggestions ? This performance is now costing us double of what we had planned. This is frustrating.
From the FAQ on the Fondazione site: Can I cancel or modify my ticket?
Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged for another date and/or sector.
Tickets refunds before the event are never provided.
You could try listing them on StubHub here. You would have to have a sell price less than face, so that they are not more expensive than tickets bought at the official site after StubHub's fees. Its a long shot.
I looked at Italian resale sites. They pay you by direct deposit in Euros to your European bank account, something I bet you don't have.
