I have been looking and looking at the Teatro di Roma website, waiting for the summer season schedule of outdoor opera (and concerts?) held at the Baths of Caracalla to be listed.
Does anyone know when this might happen?
Am I even checking the right place?
We're only in Rome a short time this summer, so chances are already slim we'd be able to attend, but it's something I would really love to do.
We were in Rome in March, and our walking tour guide took us to see the Baths at Caracalla. There were perhaps a dozen others in this huge area, so it was amazing walking the grounds and seeing it.
Even if an opera doesn't work out for you, it's well worth a visit!
It looks like last year they announced the schedule in March, so maybe you just need to wait a bit. The article has links to buy tickets which look legit.
