Any one have any insights on the Opera in rome
Hi Larry, welcome to the forum!
I'm not sure what sort of insights you're looking for but in addition to the link provided above, the schedule of performances in Rome listed on this site may be helpful?
Be aware that many performing arts in Europe sell out. And like the US, they do not run 12 months a year. There are summer festivals, that can be gimmicky but fun, like using 5,000 seat outdoor amphitheaters (and lots of amplification.) Do you go to the opera at home, ever?
My major insight is to say if you can see one in the Baths of Caracalla on a lovely summer night, do it!
Are you aware most theatre, opera included, starts at 9PM? It can be well after midnight when a performance wraps up.
