I only have one full day in Rome before starting a Viking cruise. Looking to join a small group tour or hire a guide to make the most of my day. Questions for the group. 1. Any recommendations for tour operators? I'm seeing good reviews for The Roman Guy. 2. How far in advance do I need to book?

I would advise against booking thru a third party like Get your Guide or Viator. One guide people really like is Francesca Caruso. https://francescacaruso.com/
In 2024, I used Carpediem Tours and City Experiences for their small group tours. I found the info on Trip Advisor but booked directly with the companies. Both good experiences.
