I am trying to purchase tickets for the Uffizi (using the site - http://www.b-ticket.com/b-ticket/Uffizi/default.aspx). It is not accepting my VISA. I have checked with my bank several times and they show no attempt to charge the card so it is not blocked on their end. I had called last week and notified all my companies of advance purchases overseas.
Any advice about to purchase tickets to Uffizi? This is extremely frustrating.
My first reply apparently didn't post, so here's a second try. Ignore this one if my original does post. Paul, forget purchasing tickets online. Make reservations by phone. Call: 011-39-0552-94883. Dial those numbers exactly as they are; they include international access code, country code, and office number. You will get an English-speaking clerk. Know the time you want to visit the musuem. You will be given a reservation number for picking up the tickets. Pay cash when you get them; credit card charge is not possible. This is all very easy and takes only a couple minutes.
