I am trying to make a reservation online to the Academia in Florence. Their site say that the full price ticket is 12 euro, plus the 4 euro reservation fee. There is also a line item for a 4 euro gratuito/free. Is this extra 4 euro gratuito the reservation fee? Or is the total price 16 euro, which includes the reservation fee?
Any clarifications would be great!

Price can change depending on special exhibitions which might coincide with your visit date but random dates are currently showing as 16,00 € per adult online, including the € 4,00 reservation fee.
The "4 euro gratuito/free" choice is the reservation fee option for minor children or others who qualify for free entry.
If you buy tickets in advance, do you skip the line?
Beth, advance tickets anywhere at all generally allow you to skip ticket lines but not security-check queues at attractions which require them. Nobody skips those checks.
