After our trip to Rome, Florence, Tuscany & Cinque Terre, we are traveling back to Rome for our direct flight back to US. We are taking the train from Cinque Terre to Rome, have one final stay with an 11;00 am departure. Any thoughts other than the airport hotel for final stay and evening?

With 11am as the departure, many would just stay in Rome, but I have heard good things about Fiumicino itself as a one-night stopover, especially for a seafood fan.
I’d stay in Rome
Near the train station is fine if you are arriving by train intend to take train in the am
I’d guess any train you take to Rome will require a transfer at Termini to get to Fiumicino
Or anywhere in historic center and take a fixed rate taxi 55 euros
