One Night in Venice Hotel recommendations

Hubby and I are flying into Venice on a Sunday morning. Our Villages of Italy tour starts Monday afternoon in Padua/Pavlova. We are looking for recommendations for a hotel close to the train/bus station where we can drop off our luggage and then do some basic sightseeing in Venice that afternoon/evening and perhaps early Monday morning before taking the train or bus to Padua.. We typically stay up the first day in Europe (maybe a 30 minute nap) and are ready to hit the road the next morning! Suggestions for a hotel in the area, preferably with breakfast included?

AC Marriott.

It's right at the bus station. The train station is across the bridge. The Vaparettos start there-or the ones you would use the most like going down the Grand Canal.

Breakfast is 10 euro. It was quite good. We stayed there and it was so darn convenient, we couldn't believe it.

We love Hotel Ai More d'Oriente in the Canneregio area. Have a great trip!

We are doing the same thing but for two nights before the Village Italy tour. I chose the Hotel Olimpia after reading recommendations here. It’s right near the bus station.

I recently spent 3 nights at Hotel Moresco and loved it. Easy walk from train station in Dorsoduro. Fantastic staff, lovely room. Included wonderful breakfast and evening happy hour snacks.
