We will be in Ravello week after next for a birthday celebration. Two of three days are totally planned (including a day trip to Capri) but we have one full day with no plans. Looking for recommendations on how to fill that day in Ravello or the surrounding areas. We will not have a car.
Hi Susan,
You should definitely go to Scala, which is situated just across from Ravello. Atrani is a very charming little town too, and it would be nice just to stop at the top and walking to the center, as it really is a unique place.
Stop off for lunch at the Ristorante San Giovanni in Pontone and admire the views across the Dragone Valley to Ravello.
Another option can be stopping at Praiano, which is a very nice town between Positano and Amalfi.
What's the other day?
You can walk to Maiori and take ferry or bus back. I think it is the lemon path?
The best thing we did on our Amalfi coast trip was spending the day at Mamma Agata's cooking class. The setting and food were amazing. We learned a lot too. I still order her products every year.
So you have the two villas, Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo, in your plans? Stunning!
I agree
Villa Cimbrone is stunning
The cooking class with Mama Agata was a wonderful day for us too. But her classes are often full. so if you’re interested, I’d check to see if it’s even an option.
