One Evening in Milan

Hi All, Happy New Year!

We are planning our honeymoon to Italy for the end of May/beginning of June and will be flying out of MXP (Milan). We will be arriving in Milan probably late evening from Lake Como and our flight is at 10:30am the next day. We didn't want to spend too much time in Milan so decided to see 1-2 areas before heading back to the hotel. Our hotel is close to MXP Airport. I was wondering what are some suggestions on what to see in Milan at night and any good restaurants/bars that are recommended?

Thanks!!

No advice for your evening in Milan, but just to remind you that MXP is very distant from Milan (45 minutes with Malpensa Express to/from Cadorna, that is the fastest way to get in the city), I wonder if you have carefully evaluated your going to/from the hotel. If you want to go back to Milan, arriving in late evening is too late.

Maybe this won't help, but a month ago we stayed at the Osteria della Pista very near Malpensa for one night and took their free shuttle to the airport. Decent restaurant and quite a nice hotel, although not much to do in the small town. We have taken the bus and the train several times from Milan to Malpensa and it was helpful to just skip it! The hotel was 77 euro for one night. They actually picked us up from the airport in the evening (where the bus from Torino dropped us off) and took us back there in the morning.

Yes, as already pointed out, you should be careful not to under-estimate the travel time from/to MXP.

We usually stay at the Sheraton at Malpensa and take the train into the Cardorna Station. Via Dante is a short walk from the station and you could experience a bit of Milan and find a place eat.

If you don't plan on arriving at your hotel until evening, you really don't have much more time than to take the train in and have dinner and return.
